Terms of Use
Effective date: October 17, 2026
Last updated: October 17, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Langvivo websites, applications, services, features, content, communications, and related products (collectively, the "Service").
Langvivo is an independently operated online language-learning service.
By accessing, creating an account with, purchasing access to, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to any policies, rules, or additional terms expressly incorporated into them.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
Certain features may be subject to additional terms, rules, limits, notices, eligibility requirements, or other conditions presented when you access or purchase those features. Those additional terms form part of your agreement with us where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, waived, or restricted under applicable law.
For questions regarding these Terms, contact:

Langvivo is an evolving product.
Features, content, supported languages, learning methods, interfaces, limits, technologies, plans, providers, and other aspects of the Service may change over time in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are legally permitted to do so under applicable law.
Langvivo is a general-audience language-learning service and is not specifically directed to children.
Additional restrictions, safeguards, or requirements may apply where required by applicable law.
If you use the Service on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that person or organization to these Terms.
3. Accounts
Certain features may require an account.
You are responsible for:
- providing information reasonably necessary to maintain your account;
- maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
- activity occurring through your account to the extent reasonably within your control;
- promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must not:
- access another person's account without authorization;
- share credentials in a manner intended to circumvent account, subscription, usage, or access restrictions;
- create accounts through fraud, impersonation, or deceptive means;
- use multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or limits;
- create or use accounts to evade a suspension, ban, or restriction imposed under these Terms.
We may implement authentication, rate-limiting, security, verification, monitoring, anti-fraud, or anti-abuse measures where reasonably necessary.
4. Limited Right to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, Langvivo grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right to access and use the Service for its intended purposes.
Unless we expressly authorize otherwise, the Service is provided for your own personal use and language learning.
Your access to the Service does not transfer ownership of the Service, its software, databases, content, audio, designs, compilations, or other protected materials to you.
Any rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
5. Service Content and Intellectual Property
The Service may contain:
- software;
- source and compiled code;

- documentation;
- other materials.
These materials may be owned by Langvivo, licensed to Langvivo, available under third-party or open licenses, or otherwise lawfully used.
Individual words, expressions, facts, linguistic concepts, or other material that are not independently protected by intellectual-property law are not claimed as proprietary merely because they appear in the Service.
However, the selection, arrangement, compilation, structure, presentation, recordings, software, databases, datasets, and other protectable elements of the Service may be protected by copyright, database rights, trademark law, contractual rights, or other applicable law.
Third-party materials remain subject to the rights and licenses applicable to those materials.
6. Data Extraction, Scraping, and Commercial Use
Except where expressly authorized by Langvivo or permitted by applicable law, you must not systematically extract, reproduce, download, harvest, collect, copy, redistribute, republish, sell, license, or commercially exploit Service content or data.
In particular, you must not:
- scrape or crawl the Service using automated tools;
- systematically download vocabulary or language data;
- systematically download audio recordings;
- reconstruct or attempt to reconstruct substantial portions of a database used by the Service;
- extract substantial collections of translations, examples, exercises, pronunciation data, metadata, or learning content;
- create or distribute copies of Langvivo datasets or databases;
- resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially provide Service content;
- use Service content to build or materially support a competing language-learning product or service;
- use Service content as a commercial dataset;
- use Service content to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, validate, or materially improve machine-learning or artificial-intelligence systems without prior authorization;
- bypass technical measures intended to limit bulk access or extraction;
- use multiple accounts, automated systems, proxies, rotating identifiers, or similar means to circumvent limits imposed by the Service.
Ordinary use of the Service for personal language learning, including viewing, listening to, and interacting with learning content through functionality we provide, is permitted.
For the purposes of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and any analogous, successor, or equivalent law, Langvivo expressly reserves, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all rights relating to reproduction, extraction, and use of protected Service content for text and data mining, including for the development, training, fine-tuning, evaluation, benchmarking, validation, or operation of artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems.
Nothing in this section restricts rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
7. Reverse Engineering and Technical Restrictions
Except where expressly authorized by Langvivo or where applicable law expressly permits it despite a contractual restriction, you must not:
- reverse engineer;
- decompile;
- disassemble;
- attempt to derive source code;
- attempt to discover non-public algorithms or implementation details;
- circumvent technical protection measures;
- access or use undocumented, internal, or private APIs without authorization;
- bypass authentication, access controls, usage limits, or security protections;
- interfere with mechanisms used to enforce account, subscription, or usage restrictions.
You must not use information obtained through unauthorized technical access to reproduce, compete with, attack, exploit, or otherwise misuse the Service.
8. Acceptable Use
You must use the Service lawfully and reasonably.
You must not:
- violate applicable law through the Service;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, networks, or data;
- probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without authorization;
- introduce malware or malicious code;
- conduct denial-of-service attacks;
- deliberately create excessive or abusive load;
- circumvent access controls, quotas, subscription restrictions, or rate limits;
- manipulate or abuse Service functionality;
- use automated tools contrary to these Terms;
- impersonate another person or entity;
- engage in fraud or deceptive conduct;
- use the Service to harass, threaten, exploit, or unlawfully harm another person;
- materially interfere with other users;
- assist another person in conduct prohibited by these Terms.
We may establish, modify, and enforce reasonable additional usage, security, community, content, payment, or anti-abuse rules where necessary to operate, protect, or develop the Service.
9. Learning Content
Langvivo is intended to assist with language learning.
Language is complex, context-dependent, regional, and constantly changing.
Learning content may therefore:
- contain errors or inaccuracies;
- contain incomplete information;
- differ between dialects or regions;
- become outdated;
- have multiple valid translations;
- have context-dependent meanings;
- contain pronunciation variations;
- reflect differences in register or usage;
- contain automated or machine-assisted processing.
We do not guarantee that every:
- translation;
- pronunciation;
- definition;
- example;
- explanation;
- exercise;
- classification;
- recommendation;
- learning score
is complete, error-free, authoritative, or appropriate for every context.
You should exercise your own judgment where accuracy is important.
The Service is not an official linguistic certification service, educational institution, examination authority, or professional translation or interpretation service unless expressly stated otherwise.
10. Critical and Professional Use
You should not rely on Langvivo as the sole or authoritative source for translations, interpretations, terminology, or language guidance in situations involving:
- legal matters;
- medical or health matters;
- emergencies;
- safety-critical communications;
- immigration or government procedures;
- financial matters;
- contracts;
- professional advice;
- other circumstances where an inaccurate translation or interpretation could cause significant harm.
Where accuracy is critical, you should obtain appropriate professional or authoritative assistance.
11. Vocabulary and Potentially Sensitive Language
Languages naturally contain informal, slang, vulgar, offensive, sexual, culturally sensitive, controversial, or otherwise potentially objectionable words and expressions.
Such vocabulary may appear in the Service where relevant to understanding or learning a language.
Its inclusion for educational purposes does not constitute endorsement of the underlying expression, viewpoint, behavior, or meaning.
Where available, Langvivo may provide settings or functionality affecting the types of vocabulary presented to you.
We do not guarantee that every user will consider every word, expression, or learning item appropriate, neutral, or non-offensive.
12. Learning Progress and Automated Systems
The Service may automatically:
- evaluate answers;
- calculate learning metrics;
- estimate familiarity with vocabulary;
- select words;
- prioritize content;
- schedule reviews;
- adjust exercise difficulty;
- generate recommendations;
- personalize lessons;
- classify learning activity.
These systems are intended to support language learning.
Generated scores, rankings, estimates, recommendations, and similar information are approximate internal learning tools and should not be treated as formal assessments of ability.
We may modify the algorithms, formulas, scoring methods, selection logic, thresholds, or other systems used to provide these features.
13. AI-Assisted Features
The Service may use or introduce artificial-intelligence, machine-learning, or other automated technologies.
AI-assisted output may be:
- inaccurate;
- incomplete;
- inconsistent;
- inappropriate for a particular context;
- generated differently on different occasions.
You are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment when relying on such output.
We may change, replace, limit, suspend, or discontinue particular AI systems, models, functionality, or providers.
14. Availability of the Service
We aim to make the Service reasonably available, but continuous or uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
The Service may from time to time be:
- unavailable;
- interrupted;
- delayed;
- degraded;
- partially unavailable;
- temporarily disabled.
This may occur because of maintenance, updates, technical failures, infrastructure problems, network conditions, security incidents, third-party failures, unexpectedly high demand, events beyond our reasonable control, or other operational circumstances.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Langvivo does not provide a guaranteed service-level agreement, minimum uptime commitment, or uninterrupted-access guarantee.
Temporary interruptions, individual errors, maintenance periods, temporary performance degradation, or other ordinary operational issues do not by themselves automatically entitle a user to a refund, credit, extension, or compensation.
However, nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory remedy you may have under applicable law where the Service materially fails to conform to legally required standards.
15. Changes to the Service
Langvivo is an evolving Service.
We may introduce, modify, replace, limit, reorganize, restrict, or discontinue features for legitimate reasons, including:
- improving the Service;
- introducing new functionality;
- responding to user needs;
- improving security;
- preventing abuse;
- responding to technical limitations;
- replacing technology or providers;
- complying with law;
- responding to licensing requirements;
- changing infrastructure;
- maintaining economic sustainability;
- introducing or modifying monetization;
- improving performance;
- correcting errors;
- retiring obsolete functionality.
We may also modify:
- supported languages;
- learning materials;
- audio;
- algorithms;
- exercises;
- limits;
- quotas;
- plans;
- free functionality;
- paid functionality;
- integrations;
- providers;
- interfaces.
No particular free feature, content item, language, integration, algorithm, provider, or functionality is guaranteed to remain available indefinitely.
Where a change materially and adversely affects an existing paid Service, we will provide any notice, termination right, refund, price reduction, or other remedy required by applicable law.
16. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to, integrate with, or rely on third-party services.
These may include:
- authentication providers;
- hosting providers;
- payment providers;
- analytics providers;
- advertising providers;
- community services;
- communication platforms;
- support platforms;
- membership or contribution platforms;
- AI providers;
- other websites and services.
Third-party services may have their own terms, policies, fees, limitations, availability, and privacy practices.
We do not control independent third-party services and are not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability, security, content, policies, or performance except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your use of a third-party service may create a separate relationship between you and that provider.
17. Advertising
The Service may contain:
- advertisements;
- sponsored placements;
- promotional material;
- affiliate links;
- other forms of monetized content.
The presence of third-party advertising does not necessarily mean that Langvivo endorses or guarantees the advertiser, product, service, statement, or offer.
Advertisers and advertising providers are responsible for their own products, services, claims, and practices.
Advertising functionality, formats, providers, and placement may change over time.
18. Voluntary Support, Donations, and Contributions
Langvivo may allow users to voluntarily support the project through:
- contribution platforms;
- membership platforms;
- crowdfunding platforms;
- payment providers;
- cryptocurrency;
- other methods.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, a voluntary contribution or donation:
- is not payment for a specific Service feature;
- does not create ownership rights in Langvivo;
- does not give the contributor control over product decisions;
- does not guarantee that a requested feature will be developed;
- does not guarantee continued availability of the Service;
- does not exempt the contributor from these Terms.
Unless Langvivo expressly designates a particular contribution, campaign, or fundraising initiative as being for a specific purpose, voluntary contributions are unrestricted and are not earmarked for any particular use. Langvivo retains sole discretion over how such funds are allocated and used, including for the operation, maintenance, development, hosting, infrastructure, content, administration, promotion, compensation, fees, taxes, and other costs or purposes related to the Service or the project.
Contributors may not designate, restrict, condition, direct, or otherwise control the purpose, allocation, or use of a contribution. Any purported restriction, condition, instruction, designation, or stated purpose imposed by a contributor is non-binding unless Langvivo expressly agrees to accept it.
Contributors do not acquire any right to direct, control, approve, audit, or otherwise determine how contributions are allocated or used.
Except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed by Langvivo, we are not required to provide contributors with reports, budgets, accounts, financial statements, or explanations regarding the allocation or use of contributions.
Where contributions are made through a third-party platform or payment provider, refunds, reversals, disputes, cancellations, receipts, or other transaction-related matters, if available, may be subject to that provider's rules, procedures, limitations, and applicable law.
We do not guarantee that a voluntary contribution will be refundable.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, contributions to Langvivo are not represented as charitable donations or as tax-deductible contributions. Contributors are responsible for determining any tax, reporting, or other legal consequences applicable to their contribution.
19. Cryptocurrency Contributions
Cryptocurrency contributions are generally final and non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Blockchain transactions may be irreversible.
You are responsible for verifying:
- the recipient address;
- the cryptocurrency;
- the blockchain network;
- the amount;
- any other transaction details
before sending a transaction.
We are not responsible for cryptocurrency that is lost because it was:
- sent to an incorrect address;
- sent using an incorrect or unsupported network;
- sent using an incompatible asset;
- otherwise transmitted incorrectly by the sender,
except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.
We have no obligation to reverse, replace, refund, or recover a blockchain transaction that cannot reasonably be reversed or recovered.
20. Paid Features
Langvivo may introduce or provide paid:
- features;
- plans;
- subscriptions;
- memberships;
- upgrades;
- content;
- services.
The price, billing period, included functionality, applicable limitations, and other material purchase terms will be presented at or before purchase where required.
Payment for a paid plan grants only the access expressly associated with that plan.
Payment does not:
- transfer ownership of the Service;
- guarantee that every feature will remain unchanged indefinitely;
- exempt you from these Terms;
- prevent us from enforcing security or acceptable-use rules;
- prevent suspension or termination where permitted under these Terms and applicable law.
21. Prices, Taxes, Promotions, and Trials
Prices may vary by:
- plan;
- billing period;
- currency;
- jurisdiction;
- platform;
- promotion;
- other lawful factors.
Where applicable, taxes, duties, fees, or other mandatory charges may be added to the displayed price or included in it as required by applicable law.
We may offer:
- free trials;
- discounted trials;
- promotional prices;
- coupons;
- promotional codes;
- temporary offers;
- other incentives.
Such offers may be subject to eligibility requirements, time limits, usage restrictions, renewal conditions, or additional terms disclosed with the offer.
We may modify or discontinue promotions prospectively.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional benefits have no cash value and may not be transferred or combined.
Where a trial or promotional period converts into a paid or automatically renewing subscription, the applicable price, renewal terms, cancellation information, and other disclosures required by law will be presented before the paid obligation begins.
22. Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal
Where a subscription automatically renews, the renewal terms, billing frequency, price, cancellation method, and other material information required by applicable law will be presented before purchase.
Where required by applicable law:
- automatic renewal will require appropriate consent;
- renewal reminders will be provided;
- users will have an appropriate means of cancelling renewal;
- required cooling-off or cancellation rights will be provided.
Unless otherwise stated at purchase, cancelling automatic renewal prevents future renewal but does not necessarily terminate access for a period that has already been paid for.
Changes to subscription prices normally apply prospectively.
Where required by law, advance notice will be provided before a price change or renewal at a changed price.
23. Cancellation and Refunds
Except where otherwise stated at purchase, provided by a third-party payment provider, or required by applicable law, fees paid for access to the Service are generally non-refundable once the applicable paid period has begun.
The fact that you:
- did not use the Service;
- used it less than expected;
- changed your mind after an applicable cancellation period;
- no longer need the Service;
- failed to cancel automatic renewal before the applicable renewal date
does not by itself create a right to a refund where applicable law does not require one.
Temporary Service interruptions, maintenance, individual errors, ordinary technical problems, changes that do not materially deprive you of the paid Service, or temporary performance degradation do not automatically create a right to a refund.
Where applicable law requires:
- cancellation;
- reimbursement;
- a proportionate refund;
- a price reduction;
- another consumer remedy,
we will provide the legally required remedy.
Refunds for purchases made through third-party platforms may also be governed or processed according to the applicable provider's rules.
24. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to all or part of the Service where we reasonably determine that this is appropriate because of:
- a material violation of these Terms;
- repeated violations of these Terms;
- fraud or attempted fraud;
- abusive use;
- unlawful activity;
- unauthorized data extraction;
- systematic scraping;
- unauthorized commercial exploitation of Service content;
- circumvention of technical restrictions;
- unauthorized reverse engineering;
- security threats;
- attacks against the Service;
- unauthorized account access;
- serious interference with other users or the Service;
- abusive payment activity;
- fraudulent or abusive chargebacks;
- attempts to evade an existing restriction;
- conduct reasonably likely to cause material harm to Langvivo, users, infrastructure, or third parties;
- legal or regulatory requirements.
Where the issue is minor and reasonably capable of being corrected, we may, where appropriate, provide an opportunity to correct the violation before permanently terminating an account.
We are not required to provide advance notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary because of:
- fraud;
- serious abuse;
- unlawful activity;
- a material security risk;
- risk of material harm;
- attempts to evade an existing restriction;
- another serious or urgent reason.
We may use proportionate measures including:
- warnings;
- feature restrictions;
- temporary suspension;
- removal of content;
- rate limits;
- payment restrictions;
- permanent account termination.
25. Suspension of Paid Accounts and Refunds
Purchasing a paid plan does not give a user immunity from enforcement of these Terms.
If a paid account is suspended or terminated because of:
- a material or repeated violation of these Terms;
- fraud;
- abuse;
- unlawful activity;
- unauthorized extraction or commercial exploitation of Service data;
- serious security misconduct;
- attempts to circumvent restrictions;
- another serious violation attributable to the user,
the user may lose access to paid functionality.
In such circumstances, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we may deny or reduce any refund, including for the unused portion of a paid period, where doing so is reasonable and proportionate having regard to the nature and seriousness of the violation, losses or costs caused by it, the value of the Service already provided, and other relevant circumstances.
Depending on those circumstances and applicable law, this may result in no refund being provided for the unused portion of the paid period.
Where applicable law requires a refund or other remedy despite the user's violation, the mandatory legal requirement will apply.
If we terminate an otherwise compliant paid user's access for reasons unrelated to that user's breach and the user loses a material portion of a prepaid Service as a result, we will provide any proportionate refund, credit, continued access, or other remedy required by applicable law.
26. Effect of Termination
When your account or right to use the Service ends:
- your right to access restricted Service functionality ends;
- unpaid amounts already lawfully due remain payable;
- provisions that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply.
These may include provisions concerning:
- intellectual property;
- restrictions on data extraction;
- text and data mining reservations;
- payment obligations;
- disclaimers;
- limitations of liability;
- disputes;
- responsibility for prior conduct.
Personal information associated with terminated or deleted accounts is handled according to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
27. User Content
Where the Service allows you to submit, upload, publish, or otherwise provide content, you retain whatever ownership rights you lawfully have in that content.
You grant Langvivo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, format, transmit, display, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the relevant Service functionality;
- operate and secure the Service;
- moderate content;
- enforce these Terms;
- comply with legal obligations;
- resolve disputes;
- maintain technical backups.
For public or community functionality, this license also includes the rights reasonably necessary to make content available to the audience you selected.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to provide content to the Service.
We may remove or restrict user content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or reasonable Service rules.
28. Feedback and Suggestions
If you voluntarily provide:
- ideas;
- suggestions;
- feature requests;
- improvement proposals;
- reports;
- comments;
- other feedback
about Langvivo, you understand that we may use that feedback to develop, modify, operate, promote, or improve the Service.
Unless separately agreed in writing, providing feedback does not:
- create an obligation to implement it;
- give you ownership of features developed using similar ideas;
- require us to compensate you;
- create a confidential relationship.
To the extent necessary, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use and incorporate voluntarily submitted feedback for these purposes.
29. Privacy
Our collection and processing of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms the primary description of how Langvivo handles personal information.
Where the law requires separate consent for particular processing, acceptance of these Terms does not replace that consent.
30. No Guarantee of Learning Results
Language learning depends on many factors beyond the Service.
Langvivo does not guarantee:
- fluency;
- vocabulary size;
- examination results;
- certification;
- academic results;
- employment outcomes;
- immigration outcomes;
- a particular learning speed;
- retention of particular material;
- achievement of any specific language level.
Learning statistics, scores, estimates, and recommendations are tools intended to assist learning rather than guarantees of results.
31. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not make warranties or guarantees beyond those expressly stated or required by applicable law regarding:
- uninterrupted availability;
- error-free operation;
- complete accuracy;
- suitability for every purpose;
- compatibility with every device;
- permanent availability of specific features;
- permanent availability of particular learning content;
- achievement of specific learning outcomes;
- compatibility with every third-party service.
We may identify, correct, or fail to identify errors in the Service.
Nothing in this section excludes warranties, guarantees, remedies, or statutory rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
32. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Langvivo and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential losses arising from or connected with the Service where such liability may lawfully be excluded.
This may include, where legally permissible:
- lost profits;
- lost business opportunities;
- loss of anticipated savings;
- indirect loss of data;
- reputational loss;
- losses resulting from reliance on inaccurate learning content;
- losses resulting from reliance on translations or language guidance in critical situations;
- losses caused by independent third-party services;
- losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for loss, corruption, deletion, or unauthorized access to data resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including cyberattacks, infrastructure failures, third-party service failures, or other security or technical incidents.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and excluding any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited, our aggregate liability for claims that may legally be subject to a contractual limitation will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid directly for the Service during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
- USD 20 or its approximate equivalent in another currency.
This limitation applies only to the extent it is fair, reasonable, and legally enforceable under applicable law.
It does not limit mandatory statutory refunds, price reductions, cancellation rights, or other consumer remedies where applicable law does not permit those remedies to be contractually limited.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- fraud;
- fraudulent misrepresentation;
- death or personal injury where caused by liability that cannot lawfully be excluded;
- any other liability that applicable law prohibits us from limiting or excluding.
33. Responsibility for Your Conduct
You are responsible for your own use of the Service and for violations of these Terms attributable to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you may be responsible for reasonable losses, liabilities, damages, or costs directly resulting from:
- your unlawful use of the Service;
- deliberate attacks against the Service;
- fraud;
- infringement of third-party rights;
- unauthorized commercial exploitation of Service content;
- unauthorized data extraction;
- material violations of these Terms.
This section does not create liability beyond what applicable law permits.
34. Events Outside Reasonable Control
We are not responsible, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for failures, interruptions, or delays caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control.
These may include:
- widespread Internet or telecommunications failures;
- infrastructure failures;
- failures of third-party providers;
- cyberattacks;
- denial-of-service attacks;
- natural disasters;
- war;
- civil disturbances;
- government actions;
- legal restrictions;
- power failures;
- major security incidents;
- other comparable events.
We will take reasonable measures appropriate to the circumstances where required by applicable law.
35. Mandatory Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer, you may have mandatory legal rights based on the country or region where you live.
These Terms are not intended to exclude, waive, or reduce rights that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
Where a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer-protection rule applicable to you, the mandatory rule will apply to the extent of that conflict.
This may include mandatory rights relating to:
- digital services;
- conformity;
- cancellation;
- refunds;
- price reductions;
- subscription renewals;
- unfair contract terms;
- remedies for defective or unavailable services.
Nothing in these Terms should be interpreted as granting a remedy beyond what is required by applicable law or expressly promised by Langvivo.
36. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect:
- changes to the Service;
- new functionality;
- changes in technology;
- security needs;
- legal or regulatory developments;
- changes in monetization;
- changes to subscriptions;
- changes in providers;
- operational requirements;
- clarification of existing provisions.
The current version will display its latest revision date.
Where a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the Service, email, account notifications, or another reasonable method where required or appropriate.
Where applicable law requires your express agreement to a change, we will request it.
Changes will not retroactively eliminate rights that applicable law does not permit us to eliminate.
If you do not agree to revised Terms, you may stop using the Service and, where applicable law gives you additional rights concerning an existing paid Service, those rights remain available.
37. Governing Rules and Disputes
These Terms and disputes concerning the Service are subject to the laws and jurisdiction determined by applicable law and applicable conflict-of-laws rules.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory protections or access to courts that applicable law requires to remain available to you.
Before starting formal proceedings, you are encouraged, but not required where applicable law provides otherwise, to contact us at:
so that we have an opportunity to attempt to resolve the issue.
38. Assignment and Transfer
You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms to another person without our consent where such restriction is permitted by law.
We may transfer rights or obligations relating to the Service as part of:
- a reorganization;
- financing;
- merger;
- acquisition;
- sale of the Service or related assets;
- transfer to a successor operator;
- similar transaction,
subject to applicable law and without reducing mandatory consumer rights.
39. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will apply to the maximum extent legally permitted or, where appropriate, be severed.
The remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
40. No Waiver
If we do not immediately exercise or enforce a right under these Terms, that does not mean we have permanently waived that right.
A waiver in one situation does not automatically constitute a waiver in another situation.
41. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with policies and additional terms expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing your use of the Service with respect to the matters they cover.
If additional terms applicable to a specific feature conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms govern that feature to the extent of the conflict, subject to applicable law.
42. Contact
